BRISTOL-MYERS SQUIBB’S CINDY CULLEN NAMED CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, SAFE-BIOPHARMA ASSOCIATION
Ft. Lee, N.J. (March 26, 2007) – Cindy Cullen, Associate Director of Digital Certificate Services, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, has been named Chief Technology Officer, SAFE-BioPharma Association, it was announced today. Ms. Cullen will serve as SAFE-BioPharm’s CTO while continuing her Bristol-Myers Squibb responsibilities. SAFE-BioPharma Association is the non-profit association of large pharmaceutical companies that developed and manages the SAFE™ digital identity and signature standard.
Ms. Cullen is internationally recognized for her experience in Information Technology, Security & Privacy, Business and Technical Risk Management, Application Security, Audit and Regulatory Compliance.
As SAFE-BioPharma CTO, Ms. Cullen will oversee and administer all aspects of technology for SAFE-BioPharma and will be the Chief Systems Architect for SAFE. She assumes the position from George Rathbun, who returned to Pfizer after a year of secondment.

Since joining Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2003, Cindy Cullen has held positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to Bristol-Myers Squibb, she spent 12 years at Telcordia Technologies (Bellcore) where, among other positions, she was Director of Security and Fraud Solutions, providing security consulting to Fortune 500 companies, government entities, and the Regional Bell Operating Companies. As Director of Operations Support Systems Application Architecture, she helped define the infrastructure at Telcordia for applications design & development. She is an advisor to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee which is working with the Federal government. She is a frequent speaker at industry meetings. Ms. Cullen holds an MS in Computer Science from City College of New York and a Bachelor degree from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minn. She is a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager) and SSBB (Six Sigma Black Belt).
